Adam de Pilkington was the son of Sir Alexander de Pilkington and Alice de Chetham.2 He married Matilda de Penulbury, daughter of Elias de Penulbury.1 He died in 1298, from a wound inflicted by Henry del Wode.1
He lived at Bolton, Lancashire, England.1 In 1284 he held in right of his wife the Manor of Wickleswick in Barton, disposing of his life-interest to William de Penulbury (his wife's uncle) in 1291.1 He lived at Sharples, Lancashire, England.1
